  1. Fads and trends do die out. I don’t think that will change. Fasting (IF and that term included) has been going on for thousands of years. What’s interesting is people and corporations trying to own “fasting” as a marketing tool or a product.

  2. Intermittent Fasting is an eating schedule whilst Ketogenic Diet details list of permitted and prohibited ingredients for weight loss. That's how I'm undergoing both IF & KD. They worked well for me. A perfect combination.

  3. In big part because of your videos, I've lost almost 50 pounds doing omad/if since April. I'm now down to 180 lbs at 6'2 and have been maintaining for almost two months. Big fan of you and what you've done here 🙂

  4. Well said as always. Thanks for all the information you have provided and keeping us motivated on our journey. Wanna wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

  5. Guys I need help.

    1. Starting weight. 200. I did IF pretty passively. Didnt track my calories or anything, but in a year lost quite a bit without realizing it.

    2. When i started to seriously focus on my weight i started off doing OMAD Keto, but I developed keto rash. My weight plateaued. Along with this, i had a constant, itchy rash.
I gave up and ate a bunch of crap like chips lol. Then, I somehow lost about five pounds lbs?? In total 12lbs lost during this period. Weight:165-8 lbs.

    3. Next, I just did OMAD for a while. Lost maybe two pounds in about two-three months. Weight: 163- ish lbs

    4. Started Alternate day fasting and lasted a month. Weight went down to 162 lbs, then rose a little bit, then fell a little bit.

    5. Was disheartened, ate like crap. Lost weight again, tf 💀💀 Weight: 160-161 lbs.

    6. At this point I realized that maybe I should try refeeding. I did this four several months and went down to 155 lbs, more or less. Then plateaued.

8: I stopped OMAD and started IF with an eating window of 4 -5 hours. Depends on my mood.

    7. I started drinking coffee after learning of its metabolism increasing benefits, but with creamer and my weight slowly inched down to 151-2 lbs. Not quite 150, but close. (BTW, I usually round up the calories in the creamer to 200 or so. Just in case.)

It has been an entire month and I'm still at this weight. 💀💀 I don't understand where I'm going wrong. I see youtubers thinner than me losing like twenty pounds in a month. How are thee managing this?? Its been two years for me and I haven't even hit a healthy weight.

I keep my meals below 1600 calories. I rarely get to 1400 in fact. Most of my meals are around 1200 calories or less now, because I'm no longer as hungry and coffee fills me up. I eat eggs, bacon, occasionally cheese, occasionally tacos, though rare, packaged vegetables. Relatively healthy stuff with the occasional crap. Is it normal for weight to take so long to come off?

As for exercise: low intensity, if I ever do exercise. I'm pretty sedentary.

    Advice?
    Questions?

  6. I’m 6 weeks IF…kinda. I was drinking 16 oz of water with two Tsp of Metamucil every morning until I thought to check for calorie. 35 calories in that serving so I guess I have been breaking my 20/4 fast every morning! 🤔🙄damn

  7. "I don't want to pat myself on the back but…" for at least 237k people, if not more, you have been a major force of clear evidence based knowledge and encouragement that helped us decide to commit to this WOL.

  8. I lost 40+ lbs in less than 100 days and have six pack abs for the FIRST time in my life! I posted a video on my channel about my journey but firstly wanted to thank YOU for your content. Much love + respect brother. IF should be a lifestyle implemented by the majority of human beings! -Arsalan

  9. I found your channel this month. I like the fact that you speak at a normal rate so I don't get overwhelmed, also because you explain things very well. In another video you talk about fasting longer when possible. So today I did fasted for 20 hours instead of 16 hours because I was feeling up to it.

  10. Sorry, I really like you and I love IF and have gotten soo much helpful information from you. BUT.. This video is a very BIG me me me me me me moment it seems and sorry but Dr Berg, Thomas Delauer, and Jason Fung among others have been the real trailblazers and I have yet to find a video of them trying to take credit for IF becoming super popular.. Happy that you feel you can give yourself a pat on the back, you certainly earned it, but this was a bit too much for me! Happy holidays! 🎄🎅🎄

  11. I agree and appreciate everything you said, except the word "diet". I think of IF as a lifestyle or a "Live-it". Something I can do with ease for the rest of my life.☺
