  1. You are so dead on… some days I can go without eating for 48hrs and then some days I would mow a 6yr old down to just have a coffee in the morning!! Some days I am bone cold and other days perfectly fine. I am also starting menopause which is a whollllllllllllllllllllllllllllle other ball game!! I am trying very hard not to be overly critical about my fasting as I can be quite the purest as I am always trying to make sure I reap the full benefits of anything that I do.. one day at a time aye 🙂 x

  2. WOMEN: if you are already lean, LISTEN TO THIS GUY. I chose to just follow the comments and go straight into intermittent fasting. HOWEVER, after only 5 days I had a HUGE breakout. My skin started getting white heads and painful pimples. I thought I was starting something amazing for my body but for me it was the complete opposite…I already have a very low bodyweight for my height (5 '1 and about 103 pounds) BUT the clear mind and longer lifespan stuff that come with intermittent fasting really stood out to me since I struggled with a foggy mind. I almost felt as if it was helping but then I started feeling nauseous when i didn't eat for a while. Then BOOM, pimples – pimples EVERYWHERE!! BE CAREFUL MY ALREADY LEAN LADIES. ESPECIALLY IF YOU ALREADY HAVE HIGH METABOLISM.

  3. Thanks a lot for this video. I had a really bad experience with IF and couldn't find an explanation for it absolutely anywhere. Thanks!

  4. Rats have diffrent reaction to stress in same genom which makes that this study can't be applied to humans. Rats where used cause it would be unethical to have the same fast. Rats are cheap to handle and reproduce faster. I highly recommend with respect for the responsibility reg women to read more about the major issues with trying to apply the rodents species as acceptable indication about stress, metabolism in same genes. Otherwise you are right. Best regards.

  5. What if I don’t feel hungry at all?
I tried 16/8 IF I tried 20/4 IF and now am doing OMAD with once a week 20/4 and no hunger or feeling cold on the contrary I feel grate
Now am thinking of longer fasts so is it wise you think or am I going to affect my ovaries specially that I have fertility issues

  6. Laymen terms: Woman "fast" only 3 or 4 times a week. If you fast everyday you might mess up your menstrual/thyroids. I would measure when my menstrual starts & get off the fast & go low carb for that week.

  7. I tried IF and felt horrible the entire time. I struggled to make it to gym when I never had an issue prior. I workout too much to do it. I was spinning the drain the last 4 hours of my fast. I dont need to lose weight I just thought I would try it. I do see how it helps people who need to lose weight.

  8. Thank you for sharing this. I needed to hear the info. I started intermittent fasting 3 weeks ago and found out really quick that 20/4 made me feel sick. 16/8 works best for me. Sometimes I have to break my fast at 14 hrs just depends on how I feel. I appreciate your knowledge! 😄

  9. I find that I only have energy days I fast. If I eat breakfast or brunch I end up wanting to sleep or need a mass amount of coffee. Is it possible to fast daily for women at all?

  10. I have a question, I got a total thyroid surgery and now I get my hormones from pills. It won’t effect my thyroid since I don’t have but I’m curious will it effect the amount of hormones I have to get?

  11. Did IF and ate healthy during the 8 hour period and lost 30 lbs. I also work out 4-5 days a week so I saw a huge difference pretty quickly. Also, my period used to be ALLL OVER THE PLACE, I once had my cycle for an entire month. I'm not going to say I attribute my cycle regulation to JUST IF because I made quite a few lifestyle changes around that time (eating better, exercising at least 4 times a week) but there are so many benefits to fasting.

  12. It was kinda creepy seeing👀 what looked to be a big ole rat pass by while he was talking about the rat studies lol….naw im sure it was just a dog or even a cat passing by! Good video either way.

  13. thank you for this. Men and women are physically different on some levels so trying to do things like a man sometimes can mess up your hormones.
but at the end of the day, the only "rule" is that everybody's body is different and different things work for different people. Intuitive workouts and eating are the way i believe. Of course, looking around and gathering some information / inspiration, never hurts. hehe

  14. Ah makes sense. Yesterday I almost went crazy with my fasting and I broke after fasting everyday this week. When I broke I felt a flood of life hahaha But I was sad because I had to break 😂 But man it felt amazing to eat at that moment

  15. Thank you for the video. I wish I had watched this sooner. I really got so excited to do the 16/8 fast daily and its been 8 weeks. There was only a couple days where I was feeling dangerously hungry (by my standards) so I broke fast because I knew I needed to listen to my body. I felt amazing when I started the fasting routine. I felt more energetic my mind was clearer and over all felt"lighter"! Though I've only lost 5 pounds. I'm not doing keto and I'm not doing much exercise but just starting out after healing from hypersenitivity pneumonitis. I was on long doses of steroids that helped me pack on the pounds. Now I want to get healthy and hopefully my husband and I can try for our first baby. Something to note since I started fasting is that my bbt temps for tracking my cycles/ estrogen hormone spikes are super low. My t3/t4 is fine on bloodwork but I'm hoping that my body will regulate its temps by only fasting three or four days a week. Hopefully with good results and still befitting from minimal fasting. Thanks again for the videos and God bless you and your family.

  16. Women should not fast differently than men, we are not that complicated. Women need more nutrients to fullfil all the needs for their endocrine system, which is everything from breast ducts to Hippothalamus, Hypocampus, to Pituitary, to Adrenals, to Thyroid, to Ovaries and the Uterus. Yes, the Uterus makes hormones to send signals back to glands by the brain. Women need an insane amount of plant-based Iodine (sea kelp) to correct dysfunction of any of these glands. Women are more likely to be Insulin Resistant because we have less muscles to begin with and therefor don't burn off glucose like men do with their insane amount of muscles, bone mass and marrow and body hair. Yes, hair utilizes glucose. Insulin Resistance is what gives women the cravings and they think they NEED carbs. It's utter bs. It's just a never ending cycle of hyper-and hypoglycemia. And our brains aren't happy when the little nutrients we get go into the uterus every month instead of healing our bodies. The RDA has it backwards, we do NOT need less nutrients (not calories) than men, but we need way MORE !

  17. Would really like to see more on keto, fasting and related for people over 60 especially having gone through change of life as well as in relation to not having gallbladder etc.

  18. So I am muslim and a woman and we fast (dry) during Ramadan for about 18hrs a day 30 days in a row. I started intermittent fasting 3 days ago I do 16:8 and I must say it is a piece of cake… Even if I am breastfeeding which burns me about 300-500kcal daily… Still i have been eating 1800kcal everyday (my usual need without BFing) I find if one can drink water it's really easy… So if i weren't breastfeeding i would stretch it on to 18 hrs or more without any trouble! But i must not toy with my milk supply sinc3 my baby is only 3 months old and exclusively breastfed. Let's see if it brings me any weight loss in the next 2 weeks (without working out) so I can figure out how much breastfeeding only really burns for me… Then i will add exercise. Also I break my fast with about 1.5dcl Juice and Barleygrass Powder and Curcuma Powder 🙂 this is believed to also help fat burn so I am excited to see the results 😉

  19. So true. Explains 'hangry'. And today was a perfect fasting day. I intended to yesterday, and it just wasn't gonna happen. Follow your body's lead.

  20. I've only recently found your channel and am frantically catching up on all of your intermittent fasting videos soaking up all of the info! Please, please, please can you do some more videos on the best type of intermittent fasting for women. I currently fast for 15 hours 5 times a week, but I'm super confused about what is best for women. Thanks so much!
