I must admit I'm sad to see Brian didn't win he is most fav person to me but age is a ongoing concern everyone is younger than him more springy more fresh 🙁 he may have the heart and determination but age sucks strength away from you but mainly sucks away the muscles to regen quicker if Brian does a deadlift it'll take him longer to recover then it would the Young gun Tommy the Monster Stoltman

Love watching Brian Shaw compete. I remember when he first came on the scene totally novice but with a fantastic attitude about competition. He's become one of the greatest strongmen ever. Definitely up there with Big Z, Kazmaier, Pudzianowski, Ver Magnusson and the late Jon Pall Sigmarsson. He respects the sport and even humbles himself when his lifts are not up to his standards. I think a lot of us are hoping he can get that 5th title and tie Pudzian. Maybe we can get Thor and The Beast back out there and lift some huge weight!

My wife and I were in the crowd, right at the gate. Every one of them look enormous in person, 10 feet up. What an event, and I can't believe we stood there for 5.5 hours.

It’s unfortunate that Brian Shaw will not be at the ASC for the first time in 11 years. I believe he deserves to compete in the 2020 ASC.
