  1. I to have disagree with the other comments here. You did improve but you still failed. You said you were going to to do something, and you did not. That being said, all failure means is that you need to keep pushing. I hope to see you strive for even higher goals in the future. You just have to want it enough.

  2. Lani, you're my hero man! I love the stuff you make and ! love that everything you put out comes across as so genuine and raw. Please keep doing what you're doing!
P.S. make some more Yu Yu Hakasho Abridged episodes, they're great!

  3. No anime inspired workouts for me but increased physical activities of various sorts plus watching my calorie intake has me down roughly 28 pounds or so since i started my own journey back in January.

I weighed 255 back at my doctors in December and as of these last few weeks I'm hovering between 227 and 230 something.

While missing the challenge by a day sucks, I'm glad you got your pull up in and that you weren't too far off your goal weight.

I'm hoping to be 200 pounds or so by the end of the year.

  4. Good shit Lani. Everyone goes through ups and downs, especially when you're working out whether it be an injury, lack of motivation, mental issues, or whatever it may be. The biggest thing is what you do after those downs and whether or not you get yourself back at it or not. I'll be praying for you.

  5. The challange is not gonna help you get to where you want. Fitness experts have broken this down time after time. You need rest & recovery. You also need the proper balance of carbs, and protein.

  6. I'm I've been there with depression and working out and stuff and azusa from it tip I can give you is more or less even if you feel like you don't want to do it just push yourself a little bit even if you don't do the football challenge still do a thing that will give you a bit more of the feeling happiness and have to do it but more

  7. Also thank you Lani for showing me the effort that you would need to do this challenge. You have bettered me in my way of thinking and how I can do this to, good luck to you

  8. Thank you because as thirteen year old who was fat at one hundred fifty pounds to what is know one hundred fifteen pounds thank you because after doing weights and running/jogging 4 miles per day you have shown how much you can do if belive that you can no you are going to do it left me smiling to say the least

  9. I really do think a lot about the things you say in these videos. I think I am going to start something to better myself, now. I've been having a hard time with it because I'm going through a really tough breakup, but I shouldn't let that stop me. Thank you for the inspiration, Lani. It really means a lot. Never stop improving

  10. Don’t consider it a failure. You have inspired myself and other people to try the one punch challenge!!! I’m ok if I’m just a Genos and not a Saitama lol.

  11. I didn't start the One Punch Man workout – not nearly enough time in the day for it, I wake up, go to work, come home and sleep. But seeing you start this, I decided to do something too.
    I started the keto diet.
I only went about a month or two, but in that time I went from 290 to 260. Since I stopped the diet, I've continued watching what I eat, and even managed to squeeze in some exercise on the weekends, so I've been hovering around 255…
    Until now!
For the first time since middle school, (I'm 23 now, so like, 12 years) I'm BELOW 250! 244 to be exact!
My physical health is almost the best it's ever been! Even my back and neck problems aren't as bad as they always have been.

    Next up: mental health!
Jesus fucking Christ that's an uphill battle…

  12. I've been working out for 3 years and one of the most important things I've learned is that we all plateau and we all eventually say to hell with it and stop for awhile. Whether it's from depression, laziness, stress, or any number of other reasons. It'll happen to everyone. The only people I've seen not affected by it are the people that are getting paid to workout, or the ones that center their lives around it.
The important thing is that you gave it your best shot, saw the results you strived for, and even though you see it as a failure you're willing to go again.
    Props my man, big progs.

  13. We appreciate your honesty. Depression can be a serious deal. I don't have it myself, but getting the motivation & habits to get physical is hard these days. There are times where my workouts are piss-poor compared to others & my eating habits are garbage & it bugs me.

  14. You are not a failure sir.
I remember that time when I started pushing to get myself back into shape, and there will always be days when the entropy hits like a baseball bat.
(Besides, speaking as an avid runner you don't need to run every single step especially if it's daily. Your knees will thank you. Or alternate between running and biking 10k)
Also, you definitely don't need to prove yourself to any of us. We already see you for the superhero you are.

My internal saitama challenge is pushing forward with voiceover work (currently practicing my voices to get strong enough for a demo reel), and just as you look to the likes of Vegeta and Saitama for something like this. I look to you, and TFS for my inspiration.

  15. Man, we love you so much. Flaws and all. None of us are perfect. Admitting when you mess up is part of the journey. I'm a fat kid, been one for most of my life. You're inspiring people, and I respect that more than anything you've done. Remember, we fucking love you man!!!!

  16. I think you are awesome for doing this, and congratulations on the milestones you've accomplish, but I hate to be the bearer of bad news…that's not a pull up. That is a chin-up, and although it is an accomplishment to do them, pull-ups are much…much…much harder than chin ups.
