  1. I was quite surprised to hear that I should hold my breath in the beginning and then breathe out just in those few seconds before I breathe in again. I tried, and it worked, but only with hard concentration. Cause before watching your video I was always told to exhale constantly under water in order to avoid anxiety. Could you explain exactly the difference (Holding or not holding your breath at the beginning)? And could you tell me why it makes a difference, if you exhale through your nose? And what was the other video you talked about?
Me gustan tus videos. Son muy divertidos y me ayudan tanto!!!!

  2. you are the only one that recommends holding your breath and only exhaling while turning…. all the other channels recommend me to never ever hold my breath and always breath out while under water. i never practiced your technique yet. will try next time im in the pool.

  3. Thanks for the video, I'm only now learning how to properly swim as Marine Corps bootcamp also has swim qualifications. Learning the actual technique was the easy part, what's hard is this: breathing properly. It's pretty hard for me to focus on my breathing as I'm pretty scared of the water and when you're afraid you tend to breath irregularly. I don't know why I'm so uncomfortable in the water but at least these exercises are helping me a lot!

  4. Currently trying to figure out how to do this and it’s HARD. I have a massive anti drowning reflex of some kind when I breath in water trying to do this. Just short circuits my brain and I stop swimming to catch a real breath. Gonna be interesting to overcome this one haha Great video!

  5. I cannot lift my head, even if I do, I just take in water.
Do we need to deliberately jump up to breathe?
Also, do we have to purse one side of our mouth to take in the water?

  6. I tend to sink when I turn my head for breathing in freestyle, and feel water on top of my face. So basically not able to breathe as I fear I will swallow water. Any tips here?
