  1. Excellent video, perfect explanation! Love that you get straight to the point. I can't get all the way across a 50 meter pool and someone MIGHT have told me this before, but if so it didn't stick. I think I exhale starting from as soon as I put my head down in the water so today at the pool my mantra will be EXHALE ON THE ROLL. and through my nose which I think I do… can't wait to try to make it all the way across. I swim a mile every other day but SLOWLY. I guess that explains why it's easier to swim four or five strokes before breathing. In that case I'm not exhaling myself to exhaustion. THANK YOU!

  2. Thanks for the video. Certainly an area I am having problems with in terms of exhaling too much and constantly struggling.
After you exhale a bit on the roll back in the water, do you then hold the breath until you roll out again? Also is it best to always exhale from your nose. Just hit the subscribe button! So awaiting a response patiently 😜
    Thanks in advance

  3. coach M i need your insight and feminine 6th sense. the reason is this: on the right side i breath as smooth as a dolphin, on the left i barely resemble a golden fish. i see two possible causes but i cant pick one: either it is cauz my left eye is veeery short sighted either my right arm is the weak one and i cant hold my balance. keep the good work, coach M

  4. Thanks for a teaching moment for new swimmers how to breathe properly, I already know how to breathe without running out while doing 2 kick freestyle swim, also can you please upload your swimming technique starts where you can dive in the pool for lap swimmers that would be helpful for me to learn.

  5. Thanks for the insightful video. Are you stating continuously exhaling while the face is in the water is not necessary? I was told it is important to fully exhale to make room for the in breath. It is also stated by many that if you don't exhale enough it will cause the body to get winded and tired, something to do with the build up of carbon dioxide. And that the exhalation is more important than the inhalation. I am still having problems getting winded although I am focusing more on the exhalation. Do you fully exhale just before inhaling? Thank you.
