thats just the stronglift 5×5 programme basically if anyone is looking for anything to do as a workout. id get him squatting properly hes already heavy his knees are going to get really damaged by half squatting. put the weight off and tell hip to sit in a squat with the barbell and get mobility at the bottom of the squat. give him some stretches and foam roll too. he will make a lot more progress doing it right and plus getting him flexible and mobility better he will find he activates his certain muscles better since they arnt so tight and restricted
Once a week or every 10 days for the weigh in, also body weight fluctuates during the day so yea let him weigh in the morning so the number doesn’t discourage him
Mad respect for Thomas and you guys helping him out. I think you should weight him once a week on a Monday in the morning and that’s it. I can see Thomas is obsessed with that number, that’s how I started of as well. Just saying.

Why weigh him after he ate? Weigh in first thing in the morning after using the rest room. Guarantee he's around 320-319 if you do that.

I dont see the point of daily weigh ins that's just setting him up for failure. Do weight ins once a month way better

Yes, weight fluctuation is normal. I fluctuate 5 to 8 lb sometimes depending when I weight my self
