Just because a thing CAN be done does not mean is SHOULD be done. The green bean casserole is the single most abominable Thanksgiving dish ever devised by mankind. It is simply wrong, and the expressions on your face as you were doing the act clearly showed that at a visceral level, you knew that instinctively. Virtually everyone hates it. Using fresh green beans rather than canned makes it a bit more palatable, but not a whole heck of a lot. You got the sweet potato casserole down correctly. You can't use too much butter, white sugar, or vanilla. Do you guys get fresh cranberries over there? I've never looked. Canned will work in a bind, but if you can get fresh, add sugar, water, boil and enjoy. Glad your new holiday was a good one. Hey, you appropriated Halloween for reasons known but to god, Thanksgiving is certainly a universal American holiday, regardless or race, creed, national origin, which is really nice. Oh, try brining your turkey next year, makes a world of difference.

Turkeys are killed at around only 5 months old despite they can potentially live around 10-15 years. To make turkeys they take the male (a “tom”) masturbate it by touching its genitals suck up the semen with a straw and inject it into the females with a tool. (Due to selective breeding they have overly meaty bodies which means they can’t physically have sex naturally and rely on humans “assistance” to exist). But their life is short and miserable, their kill date is planned before their birth. It’s totally barbaric and indefensible when we don’t need to eat meat according to NHS. Consider to stop eating meat, it’s supply and demand the more we buy the more suffering continues. They are sentient emotional creatures. The cruelty must end, and it will. Be on the right side of history. This is disgusting.
