  1. Rant time, Queen Bees! I gained 5 pounds over the past 2 months, despite the fact I eat very well and exercise 5-6 times a week. Something is up and I am going to find out what is going on with me….

I am in the middle of trying the newest Beachbody eating program called 2B Mindset and while I do plan on making an official review of this program, I was in quite a mood after stepping on the scale and seeing my weight climb – YET AGAIN. ARGHHH!

Is it my cycle? Is it muscle growth? Something just doesn't feel right. I used to do a very similar style of working out 5-6 times a week, and eating a clean diet (80-20) and I was MUCH lower in weight.

I just have 0 clue as to why I can't lose weight even though I am following the nutrition program AND working out HARD. ARGHHH!!!

  2. I am glad I found your videos and was hoping to find more fails/ not a coach reviews. I was curious about it, but not for a continous $20 a month. And I think the dietician is just a beachbody cert so just a coach trying to sell more stuff. I think I will pass and just focus on veggies and tracking in my fitness pal.

  3. If the scale isn't moving and you are working out hard you may actually not be eating enough with the regular design of the program! I had to add two additional snacks per day, one of them being shakeology and the scale started going down again! That's the point of this program is when something isn't working you track it and try something new to see if you can get it going again!

  4. I think you are still eating too much. What about alcohol. when someone drinks, the body does not burn fat for about three days. It has to metabolize the alcohol. Eating really well 75% of the time. Discipline yourself and do it right. and then let us know what happens.I would start watching Dr Berg's videos about bio chemistry and Thomas Delaura. They will teach you.

  5. Hi Amanda, I just listened / watched your post. I'm a health coach, some of my clients do well weighing in every day and some don't. Water weight can do a number on you, not sure if you know OTC medication like advil, tylenol, aleve (not sure if you take those w/ frequency) can cause water retention. I agree that the carb situation at eve meal may not be ideal for you, also high protein for breakfast doesn't work for everyone. If I have 50% protein in the morning, I'm tired, cranky and starving all day! Take it all in, see what's working and what isn't and tweak from there (sounds like you did have some successes both with this program and with other diet and lifestyle strategies you used in the past). Water should be, 1/2 of your ideal body weight (in ounces), not current weight. Stay off the scale for a few days, week, also can track your weight along with your cycle to see any hormonal spikes that you can identify. So much of weight loss is staying connected to yourself, you seem very insightful and sooner or later, that's what's going to help you modify this or any other program so it's optimal for you. Good luck and thank you for sharing! Betsy (betsycoxhealth.com)

  6. ALL these programs lie to you. The secret to losing weight is real weight lifting with progressive overload and eating 80/20 (healthy 80%), rest, hyrdrate, repeat. That is it. All the beachbody, thrive, optiva, herbalife, every MLM – its all total shit.

  7. Alcohol, especially beer, will sabotage you. Have a shot or two or clear alcohol (vodka) instead. And yes, be done with carbs in the pm…but more like 1pm. And get those carbs from sweet potatoes and oats, not bread and crackers. It'll happen. And they say 25% protein at night? I'd say 50%.

  8. You are not getting the results you want because you are not taking the time to learn from your tracker and the information the scale is giving you. You have to learn what foods work for you for weight loss, what foods have you maintain, and what foods cause a gain. Did you truly track everything? Did you review the information and determine what is good and what is bad? Maybe you should give up the alcohol etc. for a few months. You also have not learned to use the scale as a tool and not to be an area of frustrated. Doesn't matter what you did in the past and you aren't losing because of the weekends. You can't out work a bad diet. If you want help reading your tracker let me know.

  9. Are you being coached? Beachbody does have coaches that are certified to help you with obtaining your goals. They cost nothing since you are using their programs you are eligible to receive coaching. Are you using your book and tracking everything? I would be very interested in talking to you personally as I know quite a few people who have lost quite a bit of weight. I would also like to say that they recomend you not do that program with Autumn Calabreas’s programs as she stated that she made her programs directly around the nutritional values she created. There are a list of workouts you can follow with this program itself and they tell you what to do differently if you follow those programs. A coach could help you with this information and make sure you are on track with your goals. Best wishes!

  10. If you are weight training the scale is a useless way of measuring progress. I gained 4 pounds during 80 Day Obsession but every measurement was smaller. You're gaining muscle. The scale doesn't know the difference.

  11. I weighed myself this morning after 1 week and felt extremely discouraged. I lost .2ibs dont skip the point. Im trying a new eating style. AGAIN! ALSO I hate scales. It's a trigger. I'm not going to quit. I keep looking at myself in the mirror and I couldn't be more disgusted. I've tried every diet you can think of and to be honest the only thing that has ever worked for me is fasting and eating healthy. I treated myself everyday too with a sugar free candy (1) some kind of indulgence because I am a binger unfortunately. Another thing, I had no cheat days. I cant, I will set myself up to fail if I do so. I think I need to go back to that. I always assume I can find the next quick fix and it never works. Worse diet I've ever been on was the keto. Again what works for others might not work for you and what works for you might not work for others.

  12. I have a similar experience. Wondering about salt? I noticed I get bloated it's salt. I feel like this plan works if you NEVER have silly carbs, a.k.a. beer, desserts, processed food. I felt like I was losing but then would gain. I tend to binge every other week. I get tired of the strictness and rebel. Sounds like you're doing better than I am. I understand the discouragement. I started in June and lost about 10 the scale keeps going up every time I get to an all time low. My body is fighting it even though the plan is supposed to work. I also work out hard, 6-7 days a week.

  13. Amanda thanks for sharing. Usually I see a range of emotions in your vlogs but this time I feel only your frustration. 🙁 No funniness going on. I ordered the 2B Mindset program just to gain more information about nutrition and to also have another option to use in my fitness arsenal. I plan on getting certified too. But I’m starting to wonder if I’m wasting my money. I recently read a few comments from women that also gained weight from 2B Mindset. If they followed to a T, I wonder what the cause is for the weight gain or lack of loss. Someone’s comment above says it could be from muscle gain. (By the way, not directed towards you, but just to clarify, muscle doesn’t weigh more than fat (5 pounds of muscle weighs the same as 5 pounds of fat). Muscle is more dense and so, takes up less space than fat. You should be able to tell in the way your clothes fit, with pictures and measurements. BUT I also think it could be ratios of carbs, protein and fats. As you move through this fitness journey you’ll find what works best for your body. Some times we over think things and make things a lot more complicated than they need to be. I know I do. I had my best results with 80 Day and now I’m on doing LIIFT4 but my eating hasn’t been on point the past week. I hope you find what works with as little stress as possible. Looking forward to a follow up vlog. It’s so silly how we do this to ourselves over and over and the fitness industry knows this and makes billions of our insecurities and constant pursuit of our ideal shape. Either way your journey is relatable and your creativity and sharing is appreciated.

  14. She pushes a lot of water. And you can over hydrate. Do you think you are retaining fluid? Drink 1/2 your body wt max if not less. You may have a hormonal imbalance too that is contributing to this. May consider getting blood work done. Finally your body may need different macros to lose. It does seem odd but something is off nutritionally for you to see results. I am also an RD like the 2bnindset creator. And I am not sure I love all her teachings. Especially weighing daily. That can put a lot of stress and self loathing on people like you said. There are better ways to see progress. Love your videos. And interested to hear how this continues to go for you.

  15. I love your channel. It is very insightful. I was actually trying to figure out if I wanted to try the 2b mindset. I might just do 80 day obsession. Throw the entire scale away. Aloha from Hawaii. 💜💜💜💜
