  1. Marathon in 2020 is a rookie dream.
I am slowly increasing mileage and in wintertime I'll be preparing the foundations.
So I guess I have a little bit more time to prepare than you
…and a gteat bit more to do 😉
As my favourite YT channel say:
    Seek beauty… (in 2020)
    …and keep it tight 😁

  2. Good to hear you're coming to Amsterdam. If you need info on where to prepare the days before let me know. Hope you can handle the oxygen on a course below sealevel.

  3. Philadelphia Marathon In November!!
3rd Marathon for me. Shooting for 3:20 .. Awesome Sauce!! 🤩 Can’t wait to follow your journey Here & on STRAVA.. “Seek Beauty, Work Hard & Love Each Other” ✌️

  4. Seth, I hope you might take a second look at Hansons Marathon Method. I think the description you got previously was incomplete and somewhat inaccurate. They believe in the same things you believe in. Base building through easy running comes first. Balance in training between long running, speedwork, threshold training (although theirs is somewhat different to the approach I understand you take. They believe in threshold intervals…so you might do maybe 2×3 miles at close to threshold pace. Their elites do a 2×6 mile threshold prior to their big races.), and training at marathon pace. Contrary to what the previous person said, they DO believe in cross training. Their book includes suggestions on weight room training and stretching for example. They do not believe you should substitute cross training in for essential runs needed during the training block. Please give 'em a bit of a closer look before deciding for certain whether or not you like their method.

  5. Great video. I subscribe to the aerobic base philosophy too. Go fast too much and get injured is what I see. Would be interested to hear someone that trains the other direction. Fast running first into longer and longer distances. But I’m a LSD – long slow distance guy first w one speed workout a week to remember what speed feels like. Plus it is fun. I want to run my first road marathon. Need to find a good one near NC.

  6. Sleeping bear dunes, Empire Michigan. I feel so behind in my training, just did a half and made my goal time. But I was tanking fast the last two miles. I am trying to increase my miles, tempo and throw in a few repeats. Oct 5th is coming way fast!

  7. I am running Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon on 30 November. And before this highlight of my running year I want to dig the half-marathon route in Hanoi on 20 October, the same day of your Amsterdam. Good luck and stay strong!

  8. I was just getting into running consistently this year, and signed up for a full marathon in this November. Very impulsive decision. My goals is to cross the finish line hopefully injury free😊😁
