Much respect for your opinion, but not living with your mom at a later age is not a universal law of manhood, regardless of the 18 year time table America has set: Respect, loyalty, honor, integrity and the practice of some form of discipline are a few of the staples that encompass true manhood. It’s really on a case by case basis. There’s a lot of different ways for someone to be considered a coward that are concrete, but a person still living at home with their mom could derive from a whole different dynamic not necessarily understood by those that didn’t grow up in that particular household. A person could just be transitioning and has what many would consider a blessing in a mom that allows him to get his head on straight before entering this system of America as there are many booby traps layed for the unseasoned mind; or improperly guided young man. In other countries families stay…live and work together for as long as needed, and it isn’t frowned upon. For many it takes more time to figure things out based on their social development and upbringing. You have many honorable and strong men living at home that may not have developed the hustle and economic way of thinking to create for themselves. YOU got the hustle and mouthpiece to help you create your own-not everyone has that (or is made aware) that they do have it inside of them quite yet. There’s a big difference between living “WITH” your mom and living “OFF” of your mom. Living OFF of your mom or any woman should definitely be frowned upon, but living WITH your mom if she affords you the opportunity however long it takes, some might consider a blessing. I use to look down on niggas staying with there mom talk bad about them to… but at the end of the day they went inside everynight while I was outside fighting the weather and selling drugs to get a hotel room
I left the house at 18 was told to fend for myself ended up in the streets it’s no joke I moved back in with my mom so I took 5 steps backwards to move 10 steps forward I’m 27 now Chess not checkers put that pride aside and get on your feet

It's a touchy topic I'm not proud of it, but for the past several years after "moving back home" I have been sacrificing the lifestyle I want and capitalizing on the family relationships while I still can, everyone situation is different. I'm not as mentally or socially healthy as I need to be in this situation, but weighing it with the alternatives it's been the smarter move to line up big plays in the future. Thank God she's still alive and willing to take me in. I'm gonna show that this investment in me will reap exponential benefits down the road!
