  1. Slowing down the recovery to balance the faster drive and maintain the spm makes complete sense and should be intuitive… and yet it took you saying it for me to realize that’s been where I’ve struggled to moderate pace but hold spm. Duh. But thanks! Great as always. And I’m interested to look up the sensei program mentioned at the end. Might be exactly what I’ve been drooling for!!

  2. I am new to rowing and I am loving all the information you have available. I am going to attempt the Concept2 Dog Days rowing challenge. It would be nice to see a video on how to approach this challenge as a new rower.

  3. It seems obvious that it would happen but does the increase in power automatically equate to an increase in drive speed and therefore a longer (or slower) recovery?

  4. Hi DHR, I was wondering if you could cover what you think about using Slides while using a Concept 2? As they give the illusion that you're on water and if it's worth buying them for the extra ~$200 or so.
    Thanks!

  5. Great workout! I do struggle with maintaining the 20 strokes/minute…22 per minutes seems to be my sweet spot. Humid here in southern Arizona…monsoon season.

  6. Another really enjoyable session, while keeping a peeky eye on the TDF, watch the highlights, what happens is unbelievable!
Any chance of a slightly longer session, say 30mins?
Maybe to concentrate on recovery or building an endurance base.

  7. Thanks for the tip. I got my machine a couple of days ago. I'll try this approach for sure. I struggle to find a rythm at slower stroke rates tho. Faster ones get my heart rate through the roof but feel better movement wise. 😅 There's so much to learn.
